I still know how to run, turned on the A/C unit and about 50 of these guys came from no where

Love the bright colors against the dark overcast. I really should stop by there when I drive to Colorado next month.
Took these yesterday about 30 to 40 minutes east of Nashville on US 70, we moved 3 times during the eclipse to have clear view due to incoming cloud cover. It was awesome! I have seen many partial solar eclipses which are cool, but this was the first total and it was a WOW moment. Even at 99% eclipse it is amazing how much light the sun still puts out. I can now say that I have seen the “Dark side of the Moon”. The 2 partial shots were taken through the lens of our eclipse glasses with a point and shoot the total eclipse shots were taken with same camera no filter. Looking forward to 2024.
Awesome lens, isn’t it?
Thanks!
Yeah, the overcast gave the colors a chance to really stand out. A tad of digital enhancement there as well.
Yes it is!!1 I have the 24-70 2.8 as well, love it too.
That’s on my list to acquire, along with a Vortex Razor spotter for digiscoping.
Look what I found in one of our moving boxes when unpacking. Haven’t seen this shirt in quite a while.
I wonder what Bill Borner’s fee is to inspect the Arch? Looking at the new plaza, before the eclipse.
And a wayward penguin at the zoo when the penguin house was closed that day.
Dont know why its rotated.
Nice feel to that. Very evocative. Love B&W!
Got a new, to me, spotting scope and took it out to look at the moon. Handheld my Olympus TG-4 in front of the ocular lens and got this. Looking forward to digiscoping a lot of critters in CO & WY later this year.
It should yield some pretty outstanding stills and video once my scopecam adapter comes in.
Pretty amazing the patterns nature puts on critters. He’s got some spurs too.
