Still doing our mock inspections, any clue why the receptacle looks like this and what it is used for, found it in a house built in 1925, in the living room.
Never seen that one, looking forward to the answer.
Parallel and tandem socket, it’s obsolete and will most likely not have a ground.
I will look for some pics.
They are obsolete 120-240- volt receptacles. Recommend replacement by qualified electrician.

Yep parallel was the 120 and the tandems were the 240.
