Personally, I run a gas leak detector along pipes I see like that. No leak, no report. The support straps I might mention if not every 8 ft, or if any have deteriorated enough to break. But other than that, I’d leave it alone.

Thanks Jon, there is definitely a difference of opinion of whether or not to include this in the report.
This is my notable issue. Two slightly differing metals in contact can accelerate or exacerbate pitting and corrosion. It doesn’t look good right there.
I agree that some maintenance is needed as there is noticeable rust and chipping but I don’t really think the metals are any different. At this point the iron oxide layer on the black iron pipe and the possible thin layer of zinc coating on the metal strap are both worn away. Now you just have rusted iron to rusted iron
If 100 home inspectors were to inspect the same home. I doubt any of those home inspection reports would match. Home inspection reports are heavily opinion based.
