Charles, in many areas copper gas piping is allowed, I am guessing from your reaction that Washington is not one of them. Areas with high sulphur content in the gas cannot use copper pipe.



Are you saying that solderd copper connections are allowed in gas pipping?


Yes brazed connections are acceptable. The copper line should be K or L (not M) for gas piping applications.

Teflon tape on gas lines is not allowed. Teflon pipe dope is the preferred method on threaded connections.
