This stuff isn’t structural and could be removed, right?
Is there concrete on top of it?
Why would you want to remove it?
concrete on top, it’s all rusted…client asked me if they can remove it. I said just leave it, it’s a cold room…
Evening, Richard.
Hope to find you well and in good spirits this day.
Questions: One- or two-story home/duplex?
The image the front or back of the home/duplex?
Typically, the poured concrete steps landing utilised the corrugated galvanized steel as part of the forming materials. The CMU used a divider and deck support.
Any image further back please?
This is the only other one i have. It’s a single family detached home and this is under the front steps in the cold room. It’s the decking under the concrete slab and the porch is a mess, mortar is bad, lots of leaks…
It is my understanding that that shape of a form would assist the integrity of the concrete poured on top of it and should not be removed.
Definitely structural… I’ve heard it called “pan decking” and comes in various sizes/strengths. It’s used on most of the large commercial buildings I’ve seen go up in my area. The decking is placed then filled with concrete, etc.
