My biggest concern inspecting is the eletrical aspect. I really appreciate all of the detail the course went in on how to do this safely.
Starting the Safe Practices course, really looking forward to it
I’m a new member and I’m starting the Safe Practices for the Home Inspector Course.
Hi, new member here and starting the Safe Practices course.
I’m finishing up the course and I found a lot of information in this course to be helpful.
Day 1 of my home inspector course. Wish me luck.

Starting the Safe Practice Course
Can’t wait to get into this course, I’ve seen a lot of unsafe practices in my construction career! Cheers!
Just starting out. See you at the end!
This course has been creeping me out. Thankfully I live north of most of the worst snakes. My dad has a crawl space, but it is covered up. Any inspectors find raccoons in crawlspaces with hard covers on the entrance?
Excited to get started! 1 step closer
Starting courses today.
Working through the course and I have got to say I feel like I`m more afraid of snake and spiders than racoons and other vermin. However, going through made me think of a good legal question. While inspecting an attic, if you were to encounter and be attacked by say a racoon or wasps without provoking them and you fall through the ceiling causing damages, how would you handle that situation? Food for thought
How’s it going for everyone?
Looking forward to this class so I know how to stay healthy while performing inspections.
Has anyone else answered a question correctly and it was determined incorrect? This has happened twice and I looked up after and my answer was correct. Not a huge problem and is possible im missing something. Great course
If this happens, we’ll immediately check it and make any necessary edits. Just email education@internachi.org. Thank you!
I just finished Safe Practices for the home inspector course and found it to be very helpful.
It could be energized by contact but if properly grounded and bonded this should cause a dead short in the circuit and trip the breaker. Anytime a wire is damaged it should be noted as a major defect and reported for safety reasons.
