T&B breaker compatibility

I’m looking to replace my existing T&B circuit breaker which is a TB115 120/240V single pole model J-830. While looking for replacements on eBay I see a similar T&B breaker listed as SR-100 instead of J-830. Is it ok to interchange these breakers and does anyone know what the difference is between the 2? I’ve searched everywhere online but could not find any information.

This is not an Electricians MB, and if you don’t know the answer to your question, you shouldn’t be touching what can kill you!
Hire a licensed electrician and upgrade your panel before you kill someone with wrong eBay parts!!

I don’t intend to do the replacement myself just looking to order compatible parts with my existing setup.

There is a reason T&B panels/breakers were only manufactured for 9 years!!

And here’s a HUGE RED FLAG why you should not mess with this panel…!!

I would not look at using obsolete breakers on a panel change.

You can’t salvage that with aftermarket parts (and they may not even be UL approved.) Time to let that poor thing go, get a modern panel for your family’s safety, and step up to something that won’t be hammered by a home inspector when you go to sell your home.

The only replacement might be Eaton CL UL classified replacement breakers, they are not the same as Eaton BR although they look almost the same.
