Thermal imaging photos

You are not a colleague you are a disgrace to the profession.

Your reviews confirm this.

By giving your InterNachi sign in credentials to someone else is a violation of the COE

Here is another review for Montreal Home Inspection Services

Mr Young!
The service you provided us was unprofessional. You insulted us with unprofessional words. We hoped you could refund us but you refused our request. We hope you change your way to deal with your clients in the future.

Treating your clients like this is a violation of the COE for CMIs

I do not see why individuals like yourself, an an InterNACHI awards committee member on top of that, feel the need to collude with others across the border to discredit others based upon legal things you are unaware of.
If you were in Quebec, it would be my pleasure great pleasure to have my solicitor explain to you about the can of worms you opened.
I will send your post off the InterNACHI ethics counsel.

You have to be one of the worst members I have seen to date at InterNACHI. I hope someone in Florida puts you in your place through the appropriate business and licensing channels.
I hope the associations ethics committee removes you from your post.

I hope the ethics committee removes you from InterNachi

JIM! Congratulations you are now on the Awards Committee! I was not aware of this.
Just more evidence he is not in touch with reality.
Too Bad
So Sad

More lies:

He also wants someone in Florida to put me in my place.

Jim as an ex board of directors at OntarioACHI and should know better. Maybe you should apologize to them.

Marc Goldenberg. You continue to feed a Canadian member thousands of miles away in order to discredit a fellow member.

‘Thanks Jim!

NO ONE could believe they are all inaccurate.’

You both colluded and attacked a fellow InterNACHI member to discredit him then laugh about it later on an open message board because he got your names confused.
You two do not seam to realize right from wrong.
Whats more bewildering, you both did so on an open thermal imaging thread offer nothing no help to member’s or the OP.

Now I expect more harassment as the year continues and will certainly avoid posting here. I think Jim Seffrin and InterNACHI members interested in thermal imaging deserve better.
Hope you are both happy.

Please do avoid posting your mis information here as it does nothing to help anyone

Please let this go guys.

It no longer has anything to do with the subject of the forum.

Take some time away from the message-board, Jim. It will make you feel better.

Chuck, I concur, and please pardon me one last time. See, it’s Jim’s misinformation posts, aimed my way, with the help of/through a collaborator, that have me at a total disadvantage. Hmm?

Let me try to get a straight answer from Jim, if possible. Seeing he is trolling now I suspect an answer shortly, or at lest hope so. This way we can get to the bottom of Jim’s grievance/s and move on, hopefully.

Jim, it is crystal clear what you achieved as a Ontario home inspector and as a board of directors at OntaioACHI. I will not refute your accomplishments. Not at all. Not one bit.
OntarioACHI, you can thank me for the plug later.

Jim, you have me, as well as others, at a total disadvantage.
Seeing your website is down, I forget your past titles, associations and certifications.
Maybe you would care to explain to anyone willing to read your posts that long list of achievements and associations within the Canadian home inspection industry so they can be a better judge of your character?
You can also reply to the thermal imaging question below seeing you are on a thermal imaging section.
But if your answer is to add more personal credibility, and to degrade the thread further, please do the association a favor and pass.

Other than that, I humbly yield the Thermal Imaging message board to anyone willing to learn thermal imaging, concur with Mr. Evens, and beg pardon to any and all for my weakness, defensive behavior, and ask, what would you do when someone willingly and knowingly collude to discredit a fellow association member and colleague?
Personally, I try to defend myself and the members that deserve better.

1965 bungalow.
Roof Rafters.
Insulated attic and walls.

Exterior temperature hovering around -20 Celsius.
Interior temperature hovering around 21 degrees Celsius.
The attic had planked flooring.
10" inch joists were blocked leaving non insulated joist bays.
Insulation atop the attic flooring, >< 5 inches of cellulose. >< R20.
No vapor barrier.

I attached one visual image and 2 thermal images of the attic and ceiling assembly.
Images taken with a Ti100 Fluke.
Emissivity 95
Background Temp 70 F

I use my thermal imaging equipment to take these quantitative thermal images encase anyone is interested.

In the thermograms you can detect the non insulated joist bays.

Chuck, if at all possible, and to get the thread back on track, could you please explain to everyone the thermograms. I certainly would appreciate it.

Happy new year members.
Best.
Robert Young

Robert

You seem to have an issue with my website being down as you have mentioned it a few times in the past.

Let me explain it to you again and hopefully you can comprehend it this time.

I am RETIRED !!! Therefore I do not need a website, Comprehend?

I stayed out of your BS posts for a long time until you posted false informaton about me.

You have over 13,000 posts and over 10,000 have been apologies for your misinformation.

Now you should make an apology to Chuck for saying he did not deserve the Member of the Year award.

Please seek the professional help you so desperately need

He simply gets all freaked out when the publicly posted love notes come up - like:

Then has the limited brain power to blame others.

Jim… look forward to meeting you in Russia next week for more colluding.**

Marc the Vodka is on me.

See you next week

I do not call them non insulated.

The area you are pointing the camera at has two design purposes. INSULATION and VENTILATION.

There is not enough room at the top of a wall plate for the required insulation and leave room for ventilation. If you raise the efficiency on one, the other will suffer.

This crap is called out all the time and it is NORMAL.

The ratio of the affected area vs. total ceiling area = the efficiency capacity of the system. Insulation only slows down heat transfer, and at -20C the 40C Delta will make this look huge.

Which is more important? Thermal insulation of this area or lack of ventilation which will trap water vapor and grow icicles on the bottom of the roof?

Who do I get his newsletter?

I would totally agree!

However, Mr. Young is sending private messages now and of course, none can be answered as he does not wish messages to be sent to him… Odd behaviour!

Happy New Year Chuck!

Best regards,
Pat

Totally agree!

Called out by many and sometimes called out as a “major” issue!

Happy new Year David!

Best regards,
Pat

Robert,

I gave you my best advice. I can’t help you if you wont follow it. My advice is still to let it go.
