This week’s (July 9, 2024) Tuesday Night Auction for Cozy Coats for Kids is 5 $1 actual silver certificates (old), 2 old $100 bills with sequential serial numbers (perfect condition), some random coins, old Japanese money, two rare pins, the entire Great Historic Sites of America collection (100% complete and in mint condition), and a very old coin purse (spring loaded).
Auction starts now and ends around 7PM MST (9PM EST) on Tuesday night.
Winner will be the post with the highest bid as of roughly 7PM MST (9PM EST).
You can bid as many times as you’d like, as long as your new bid is higher than the previous bid.
Winner agrees to make a donation to the Cozy Coats for Kids charity for the amount they bid.
Winner’s company, company logo, and company contact info will be listed/promoted on the Cozy Coats for Kids’ Donors page forever… an added bonus for winning.
Inspector Outlet will contact the winner for shipping instructions (shipping included).
Maggie will contact the winner for payment.
Total approximate value of these items with shipping: No clue.
Nice bid. I hope it goes higher. I’ll check back at 8:59 EST.
I learned from Nick a little bit ago that this is a complete volume, it appears, but not the complete set - which originally came in four volumes with a total of 100 coins. The coins are, however, supposed to be .90 sterling silver. Here is more info on it.
What about my recommendation to have 5min extensions after each bid, starting at 9pm? Once a bid after 9pm holds 5 min, its officially over? This would prevent bid “snipes”
She said according to the rule posted in the OP. Changing those rules (as suggested in 7-2 auction thread) would result in more donations to CCFK and make it more like a real auction vs an ebay/bot controlled auction.
"Yes, a bid at 9 PM would win. I now see that I announced the wrong winner based on this. @ringalls is actually the winner according to the rules in the original post.”
