The common wall between units did not have fire-resistive material/dry wall installed on the side of the unit inspected…

Without a picture I am only guessing, but did it look similar to the OP’s pic in the thread below? This type of installation method may cause one to think the the drywall is only on one side of the separating wall.

Firewall in townhome attic

Ok guys , so don’t kill me here but I had this in the attic of a townhome. My issue is with the regular sheetrock being installed at what appeared to be the seams. Regular sheetrock is not rated the same as fire rated for between the units. Do I call this out as improper installation. BTW I will be calling the building inspector to see what his opinion is on the subject, just to be sure. [IMG_4755] [IMG_4756] [IMG_4757]
