Really puzzled by these vertical weep holes in this shower. There are 6 of them total and they are full of water. Shower hadn’t been used in 10+ hours. Multiple cracks in the grout as well.
Just not sure how to advise as they appear to be clogged. Thanks!
Those are not weep holes. That shower pan was designed for a compatible insert that fits into those slots, but was used a more traditional construction. I like to caulk over those holes so they don’t get nasty like the ones in your photo.
I’m wondering if he is referring to the vertical (apparent) gaps in the tile, not the horizontal slots in the pan? But I thought the same as you upon first looking at the pics.
Nope. Lon nailed it. Really wasn’t sure what they were but thought they might be some kind of weep hole that were built into the pan. Unfortunately these ones are already full of nasty stuff, but yeah, caulking over seems like the best solution. Thanks!
