What CO detector to buy?

I use a Senco battery-powered CO detector that costs about $30. One has to hold down a button and watch the LCD indicators to get an instantaneous reading, but it works just fine. One can get the hang of it by just reading the air after starting their car (but not too much  ).

I use a Aim Shield co detector. Like Doug I just wear on my belt while doing the inspection. If it goes off then I know there;s a problem. So far I haven’t had it go off.

I have a Bacharach SniFit 50.

I appreciate all of the advice. I ended up purchasing a Fluke CO-220. One of our members sent me a link to E-BAY and I won the bid.

Just looking for the flue adapter now

Get a canary.

I think if you put the canary inside the draft hood, you might end up with lunch before the inspection is over…
