Greg and Brian

I didn't see this warning until I removed the hair dryer. I agree with your comments.

I posted this for information in the interest of safety.

Joe not being the electrical savant that I percieve you to be, I just read the warning label in your photo. Whenever I am doing an inspection and I find an appropriate warning label I try to get a picture.

Brian:

Sounds like an excellent idea.

I have images of a few labels as well, and often read the "instructions" that can be found with or on the equipment.

You can research terms through the search engine on www.ul.com

Hi, Joe!

I'm a new home isnpector here, and I sure want a copy of that directory. I know it will come in handy sometime in the near future. We all need to keep on learning, to stay on top of the business.

Welcome Danny:

See how many "lurkers" come forward when I post information! It is because they can see that I am helping them as you have indicated.

Even the "Veterans" appreciate what I have done for NACHI, and while it is true that I am sometimes hard to understand and outspoken, I always mean well and will continue to make my expertise available.

Now we have to talk about your work, and being a NACHI member. Is there a NACHI Chapter in the "North Pole" and if so do you hold meetings and can we schedule an electrical seminar there? How many Home Inspectors are active there?

I have the full authority to schedule electrical seminars on behalf of NACHI based upon my original "handshake" with Nick Gromicko a long time ago!

I would suggest this label is for lawyers. Hair dryers have 2 levels of protection in a properly wired bathroom. There is an immersion detector in the plug and that receptacle should be GFCI.

Have you ever seen your family use a hair dryer in the bathroom? Were you worried?

I will send you a video clip showing where neither device worked when the hair dryer was accidentally thrown in a sink full of water!
