What is your most common attic injury?

Photo of previous home inspector!!

Its a good thing you guys don’t smoke in the attics

Wow! You must have 20 PhD’s and ten MS + some BS’s. Last time I saw so that many framed pieces of paper were at my lawyer’s office. Quite impressive I must say. I guess it will remind you of all the classes you have taken on line… :):stuck_out_tongue: You look like Tiger wood!! Cheers! Keep up the good work!

Not the most common but the worst was while trying to get that perfect shot. While laying across a truss I re-cracked a rib that I had cracked previously while leaning over the port side of a boat when the boat hit a wave. I was reminded about it everyday for the next two months. :ouch:

Neither have I, after inspecting thousands…

We don’t have crawl-spaces, which is nice…

Nails in the head are an IQ test which I failed. The more times it happens the lower your score on the test, as of now I’m lower than my shoe size. My left knee is damaged due to the odd positions in order to take the pic while holding the dam tape. Can’t wear a respirator because of the heat so the fiberglass damage hopefully will wait till the kids are out of college.

Butt, as you age, going to the bathroom is painful:roll:

Just think how long do you actually think you can do it?

I know that a large majority of home inspectors that cannot do it now.

Mike’s Tip of The Day
Where a cool max ball cap. It gives you a little notice before skewering yourself and cuts back on scratches and bumps

Equal between cuts from a gusset plate and then nails thru a roof.
If you are close to the eaves, you will (always) catch a nail…

Yeah it sure does not make any sense risking these injuries just to photograph something we can verify from the hatch.

It just is not right at all and no one gives a crap.

Defects photographed, the buyer will never request repair of…

It is the one picture not photographed
that becomes the reason they purchased the home for…
and now the Home Inspector is allegedly obligated to pay for…

Jeffey, have you tried the Ben & Jerry’s schweddy balls ice cream yet? I haven’t noticed it in any of the local stores yet, not sure if they are boycotting it or if they just haven’t received a shipment of it yet.

The worst injury was when I fell from the top of an attic to the bottom cord and cracked three ribs…two weeks before my annual golf tournament in Sebring! I still managed to play over 100 holes of golf on the weekend, but it hurt…and took a larger than normal of Tequila Sunrises to compete!

That sucks and yet the a-shole from Don Meyler has never seen an accident. What a tool. I bet that prick has never even been in an attic

Was this recent?

No, two years ago, but the picture was from this year.

Amazing how every time there is an issue with a wind mitigation report, the agent refers to “Don Myler does it this way…”.

I have responded several times with, “I don’t give a **** how he does it”.

Me as well seeing “HE” does not do sh-t and just about every report I have seen from them is crap and incorrect.
