Here in central Illinois I see a lot of damage from subterranean termites and even carpenter ants, but this damage I found at my inspection this morning has me scratching my head, It looks like dry wood termite damage but those are not common around here. The house was built in the 1950’s and the damage was on the floor joists. There were hollowed areas and galleries. Any suggestions?

Looks like old house borers (beetles)
