Hi my name is Tyler Rose and I am new to Internachi. I am enrolled in the CPI program and am currently working on the electrical inspection section. In regards to grounding, I recall reading that all homes should have two sources of grounding. I noticed that my house only has one ground which is a grounding rod and my newer built detached garage (using same power source as house via under ground) has an ufer style ground. Since the house and garage use the same power supply, I suppose this would be considered okay for grounding measures, meaning the power supply does have two grounds? At first thought I expected each structure to have two sources of grounding, regardless of where the power supply comes from.
I hope I am in the right forum to ask such questions, any clarification would help. Thanks
