You can’t tell an AC unit by its cover. Just did an inspection that had a Goodman AC unit with an Amana name plate on the cover. The first 4 digits on the Serial # were 0602. If it was an Amana it would have been manufactured in 2002. Because it was a Goodman on the label, it was manufactured in 2006. I know that Goodman and Amana are the same. Am I right? John

Amana is made by Goodman

Check out Building Intelligence Center. The Goodman with 10 digits is 1st 2 are the year The Amana the 10 Digit is 2nd 2 numbers are the year. That is the observation.
