I am looking for the age of a Borg-Warner Furnace. My Preston Guide does not have this model number listed. The best that I can tell it is a 1980 model. Can someone verify this for me. The starge thing is, that it is in a condo that was built in 1985.

Borg-Waner
FCU080EANA Model #
EDNM077602 Serial #

As memory serves me (and sometimes not well) Borg Warner uses the same dating system as York. That would make this furnace a 1983.

And Blaine is correct...In 1986, after two Borg-Warner reorganizations which tried to deal with the recession of the time, the YORK Air Conditioning Division of Borg Warner was spun off into an independent company which would become the largest independent air conditioning manufacturer in the world: YORK International.
