Aluminum wiring/condo

I don’t think you’ll find salvation in the PIA, if you missed it, you missed it (or failed to report it). They probably discovered it when it was recently inspected.

And apparently you photographed it, which indicates you saw it.

Curious if he reviewed all his photos back in his office on his monitor, or did he “insert and send” from his phone into the report onsite?

You will spend about the same amount of money taking care of what you missied by fighting it with an attorney. Then when the judge finds in favor of the plantiff you will be paying again! Hope it works out for you!

If you can negotiate it down some, do that. But, then pay and move on.

Twenty years ago we thought we’d forgo our health insurance & premiums because we were both healthy and we wanted to save more.

Two months later I went to the hospital because I didn’t feel right. It turned out I had a heart attack and some clogged heart parts. Two stents, two days and a $40,000.00 bill later, I left the hospital with a lesson learned. And I moved on. You can too.

If you are truly going to fight it, my recommendation would be to delete this thread. It is in the public forum so even non-members can see it and in the first post you admitted you missed it and also implied that your reason for fighting it was lack of insurance.

Your client’s lawyer may do some research on aluminum wiring and end up at this post. Just my 2 cents, trying to help.

And the inspector that found your mistake may also be following the thread.

Unfortunately, you can only delete the op. Everything quoted is saved…

The OP could reach out to NACHI. I’m sure it could be deleted. May also get some legal advice in the process if he reaches out to Nick directly.

Not busting your chops David, but you came here looking for suggestions, so now deciding to run this through the legal system will be costly, consume a ton of your time, and very stressful.

You can also reach out to a legal expert (such as Joe Ferry) and pay for a professional’s opinion before deciding how to proceed.
