Maybe it is comical the way the government operates, but doesn’t it bother anyone that these people are trying to control our livelihoods? Why isn’t everyone kicking and screaming for the government to get its act together before they try to control us?

Here in NY, the Dept of State, who this bill has been handed to, is really trying to do things fairly and correctly the first time…

Ok let me get this straight, so I am required to be in compliance with a law not yet written through the filling out of an application not yet available from licensing bureau who has no knowledge of one?.

It would also appear that active home inspectors in New York State cannot even meet the educational requirements as mandated by the law because the complete curriculum has not been approved.

My understanding is that any home inspection courses taken at this point may not even meet the standards of accreditation in such time as the law is actually enforceable. If that is true, then some of these $1500 home inspection certificates given to people who shelled that money out to take them may be moot!

Very true.

We are currently working with reps from the Dept of State on proposed course curriculum and available venues. The State is actively shutting out folks with any agendas, whether perceived or actual; and THAT, my friends, is extremely refreshing...
