I’m new to the interests of Home Inspector. I’ve requested and received a few informational packettes about courses offered but they are from outside my State of New York. My question is: Is there one specific course offered recognizable in my state to be certified as a Home Inspector? I know my question may sound odd but again there are so many good courses offered by several institutions from all over the nation I feel a need to narrow it down to New York. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also check with your local community college, as the continuing education department may offer that. I teach some courses at LIU, and they have an excellent HI Program ... very comprehensive training that will eventually get approved once there is a law, and it also preps you for the NHIE test which will probably be a requirement of any NYS HI licensing laws ... ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)
