Same here. I try to walk as much as possible, but I’m used to being the monkey. Subfloors are another story - most attic subfloors are DIY, and as mentioned previously in this thread, you never know if it makes the next joist or is made out of 1/8" plywood. I did inspect an attic recently on a home with vaulted ceilings. Though, I have to say what I found in the attic I thought was absolutely genius on the part of the homeowner. He actually built a platform in the attic with a mechanics-style creeper that rode in a track. You climb up a short set of stairs, lay on the creeper, and just roll your way across the attic - pics attached.

Should be required in all homes…along within crawlspaces
