Does InterNACHI have a detailed checklist for balcony and deck inspections?

Not sure if interNACHI provides one, but when I first started out and after settling on a HI software, I made my own checklist regarding everything verbatim to the report. I used it probably 5 or 6 times until I felt comfortable with knowing what I needed to be looking for. All components including the deck/ balcony/patio etc…

I sometimes encounter steel support posts in my deck inspections. Does anyone have suggestions on rules for this type of post component? A Checklist with this included?

Be specific… what type of steel posts?

In our area of Tennessee, they tend to be 3 inch single wall steel posts with a plate welded to the bottom, usually a 4 x 4" plate.
