New to posting on this forum, I inspected a 1920’s model home today that was recently remodeled- In the bath room where tub insert and shower wall combo was installed- above the tub less than 8’ above the tub ( if your standing in the tub) was a bath exhaust fan/light combination set up- I was wondering if anyone had any good words to describe to the client that the electric motor is susceptible to water spray from the shower head- has anyone had anything like this before. Thanks Trent Spivey- Waco Texas
How many times do you think this is going to get sprayed? You do realize that open trim recessed are allowed above a tub or shower. Do you worry about the receptacles next to the sink getting sprayed?
It will require GFI protection per the manufacturers instructions.
