The deep divide came with the huge democratic agenda when most Americans wanted things to go back to normal after Trump’s disastrous 4 years and endless streams or lies while opening the doors to fascism.
Trump has proven once and for all that he’s toxic to the republican party. Many republicans argue that his politics are bad for America. Retrumplican’s are dead and every republican should run away from him as fast as they can. This election also proved that all those who predicted a red landslide of Trump backed republican wins don’t know squat.
This is where you lose most on the left and probably some on the right as well.

I could not agree more with this. Can you say fraud,
with mail-in ballots for weeks and months, or however long it takes to get enough to beat your opponent?
The way to have confidence in elections is to have an election day (not month) with full transparency.
Ballot harvesting, ballot drop boxes, and mail in voting subvert confidence in the process.
Truthfully, many have no idea if Biden won or didn’t win. And that’s sad for America.

Trump running again is the best thing for Democrats, if he wins the nomination he will lose the presidential election again, if he doesn’t win the GOP nomination, not that he is vindictive or anything like that, but he will run as a third-party candidate just to screw over the Rs.
He will be 0-3 with the popular vote if he does make on the ballot.
How many other election fraud lawsuits would Trump have needed to lose before his backers would believe he lost fair and square? That’s a trick question. Losing 65 out of 65 lawsuits wasn’t enough, he could have lost 2000 out of 2000 and they still wouldn’t believe (even though they know the truth). They are too far dug in and will try to save face regardless of how many times the courts tell them to bring actual evidence. They live in an alternative fact universe.
As much as I love what Trump did for the country, I actually agree with you. I hope Desantis runs, and he gets the nomination. Far more republicans will vote for him over Trump.
Likely so and this all needs to happen. I hope it comes with a realignment of the establishment leadership. There is so much of Trump that this country needs, but so much more that we do not.
