Need more info than what you're providing. Framing type, stucco type, width of crack and amount of deflection. The picture provides no reference points to size and length. Is this an exterior wall shot or part of the foundation.

a big crack would have a big gap.

Common settlement crack that may be as old as the home. Vertical cracks that are very thin and especially equal in width are usually lame.
