hi , would you consider this just a common crack on the foundation corner or is this a crack that should be looked at by SE?

Hard to tell from the picture, is there interior wall cracks? Has the stucco been repaired? Where is that drain leading to?.. Could the drain be leaking if it’s not installed and terminated correctly, expansive soil?,… doing a little lifting. Maybe?

no cracks inside on that side of house. i assume the drain leads to some


rocks down below and drains away from the house.

Just a guess without seeing it, I will bet the moisture from the drain is a factor regarding the deterioration of the foundation, if this is the only area cracking and deteriorating.


I would video scan the drain, and see where it goes to, if anywhere. The picture is bleak, but expansive soil could be causing the crack.
