Numerous spa bathtubs come with heaters due to size and/ or inclusion of air bubblers that cool the water. Maybe you guys have never seen them but I have on numerous occasions. Quit farting in the tub and calling it a therapy tub Paul…
Aww…stop…thats how we did it in VA…now you are just calling me hillbilly. FYI- Just because you add a heater doesn’t make it a SPA…if you drain it after every use its a bathtub…lol
Why would I want to insult hillbillies? Yep. Jetted bathtubs with heaters. Not the cheap big box store tubs. But the good tubs, the Jacuzzi Tubs, quite often have heaters.
Still a BATHTUB…lol:twisted:
Food For Thought …
I’m gonna look at it next week. Lender felt there was some discord in the electrician and inspectors reports and wanted clarification.
You’ve done your job. You reported what you found. Move on.
Wonder if the Jacuzzi has any metal like faucets, stoppers, drain plugs, etc
Used to use the politically correct word (hydro-massage tub) but clients never seemed to understand what that referred to.
The problem with not using the correct terminology is that when someone researches the listed defect they may not find the correct answer. If you want to look at bonding requirements around a hydromassage tub in the NEC you’ll need to use the word hydromassage tub. I realize that for clients that may not work as well as the brand name Jacuzzi.
Perhaps InterNachi could create a “cross reference” of improperly used terms…
Jacuzzi
Whirlpool
Romex
Footers
etc… etc…
Good point, I would add the word “ground” to your list.
