It’s a sticky issue – so many people want videos and books but those who have them are not sending them back. We’re waiting for another order of videos to come in, and we’ve been restructuring the system. Right now it’s looking like we’re going to have to limit out requests to one per member (once you send the item on you can request a new one). This isn’t a definite yet. Hopefully I’ll have more information soon.

Just a thought if they dont return the book or video they dont get the education credit until it is. this way maybe because we need the credit .By the way still waiting for my first video it has been at least 3 months???

If someone checks out a book or video and does not return it with no reasonable cause, don’t renew their membership. Make them return the item or reimburse the library for the cost before they can renew.

OK lets try this one on for size. No one’s getting anything as of now in the way of Book’s or video’s I’m I right?
1) Have NACHI call in all materials ASAP!
2) NACHI will have to warehouse the material (someone needs control)
3) We have a dead line on how long it can be out, 2-3 weeks, than return it.
4) When we request a book or video NACHI will send it But when we return it we send a handling fee check back with it to cover shipping both ways.
So we pay a small shipping fee and maybe a handling fee to keep the mobile library working, what's the differences you pay to rent a video only here you pay it to get educated and it counts as continuing ed credit too.
This is the only way to keep track of the library material and let everyone that want's it have a chance to use it.

Chris Morrell and I have been working on a couple of different ideas including the chapter idea like Larry mentioned. We still have an accountability issue. I hate to go through the problems of charging and refunding or keeping track of credit card deposits, etc.

What if everybody put up a small fee for a library card. Then limit them to 1 or 2 items at a time and limit the time the items can be kept. When items are not returned on time or their card has been revoked then they will have to settle up before they can use the library again.
