Bradford White Electric Brute date code help please

I have reached out to the manufacturer. I hope to hear back Monday. Until then, maybe you all can take a stab at this. I appreciate the help. There were no other markings such as ansi. The building was constructed in 2000.

Knowing you, you already have the specs.
Sorry, no age (yet).

Just guessing by the serial G009223 . I’d guess 2000.

I agree, this is highly likely. Thanks Roy!

But the “G” would indicate 1990 or 2010 according to them? Let me know what you find out. That serial # doesn’t jive with anything I’m finding.

Remember that this unit is a commercial grade unit, and not all commercial grade units coincide with residential Data formats.

Interesting to see how commercial vs. residential works in their (BW) date coding. I would lean toward 2000 also with the “00” and based on construction.

So far the manufacturer is radio silent. Report was published today so it is what it is.

Just for those that may be curious on what I reported, I reported 2000. I had 4 pieces of information and I am feeling confident enough to make the call. Otherwise, I would have had to report some ambiguous type narrative such as “appears to be”… Yuck.

  1. Observed condition of he unit.
  2. Building year built.
  3. Serial number with “00”
  4. Facility manager interview.

I use this in the date of manufacture spot in these situations…

Unknown - The serial number on this unit did not match up with known serial number formats for this manufacture, using online sources. You may wish to contact the manufacturer directly for verification of the date of manufacture.

That is a good narrative. I am stealing it and don’t be looking for a check.
