We have a simple solution for you. Donate any old cell phone to the NACHI Foundation, Inc. "Donate a Phone" campaign. The Foundation in turn will deliver them to various organizations such as the National "Donate a Phone" program implemented by the "Wireless Foundation". (Since 1999 "The Wireless Foundation" has collected nearly two million wireless phones, keeping more than 200 tons of electronics out of landfills and helping provide more than 30,000 phones for domestic abuse victims, elderly, and the homeless). When you think of the homeless don't limit your thoughts to the skid row drunkard, think about the run away teen, or the single mom with two children who live out of their car, etc.

All makes and models of wireless phones are accepted and the phone doesn't have to be working. All wireless phone accessories are also acceptable for donation. Donations are usually tax-deductible, and a receipt for your donation can be arranged by contacting John Bowman at (607) 733-2455 or email bowmancontract@wmconnect.com.

The NACHI Foundation strongly encourages everyone to please erase all numbers stored on them before donating.

Mail your donations to:

John Bowman
NACHI Foundation
921 Pennsylvania Avenue
Elmira, New York 14904-2652

Individual NACHI Chapter Chairman are encouraged to contact me to set up something through your chapter meetings.

Thank-you for your kindness and deeds.

We donate our old cell phones to the abused and battered women shelter here.

Your post is timely in that, just this evening, we found four not-too-old Nokia cell phones in our closet. These will be going directly to the abused and battered women shelter.

Others, please make your old cell phone donations to worthy causes, they are indeed needed.

Gary Johnson has set several around in Baltimore.

I have set several drop boxes up in Elmira, NY, and

The Wester Michigan NACHI Chapter President, Larry O'connor is checking into placing some in a local mall.
