Certificate of Compliance Inspection

I had a customer call me today for a Certificate of Compliance inspections for a small clothing retail shop. These are the four areas that the county is requiring.

  1. Site Work
Have you completed the site development inspection for this project location
  2. Left Turn Lane/Right of Way
Have you completed the Left Turn Lanes/Right of Way Construction inspection this project location
  3. Sign
Have you obtained Signs permits to advertise the business for this project location
  4. Storm Water Quality
Have you completed Storm Water Quality features inspection for the project location
I would greatly appreciate advice from members
    Thank you

Maybe, look up your local jurisdiction for what they may require or have templates for. Sometimes we are confused with Code Inspectors. You just need to verify.

What is the question?

Has any inspectors performed a certificate of compliance inspection?

Why don’t you start with your location, and who/what regulates the industry in your locale.

This sounds like code inspection usually done by the AHJ. Maybe in your area engineering companies that do commercial construction work handle these?

I’m going to suggest (kindly, not as a jerk) that if you don’t know where to begin asking the questions on this work because you don’t have the requisite background experience, you should probably pass on this job.

Michael.
No offense taken.
I was thinking the same thing. This client is looking for a code inspection. I ended up recommending they call the Building Official.
