Failure to keep the condensate line unclogged and the unit clean, allowed water to leak around the service breaker area.
Moisture probably caused an electrical short, damaging the wiring and rendering the electric heat non-operable. .

and no I didnt test the amperage. why bother… I could imagine a shower of sparks when the breaker is reset.
3 elements 15K looked like.
