We do not want to list home inspectors who are no longer in business. So if when you search your own area you discover a competitor who has retired, alert Nick at nick.gromicko@nachi.org and he will investigate and delete them from future search appearances.

Wouldn't you know whose a member and who is not? I would think that people not renewing their memberships would be automatically deleted from the search. Isn't that how it works now?

and able to perform home inspections.

Toward that end I:

--Had Lia contact everyone at NACHI with a missing or bad email address so that I can ask about their intentions by email.

--Asked Chris to generate mailing labels for members who might not be both willing and able so that I can send them a letter.

--I've been calling members (especially in PA and FL) asking them if they are willing and able to perform home inspections, and if not...could I take them offline.

--Updated instructions in http://www.nachi.org/tipsforzips.htm

With members subject to various laws in different countries, states, counties, townships, and cities, and some subject to different laws as they cross through these jurisdictions, and some still in school, and some retiring, and some members never going into the home inspection business (like me), etc... it will be difficult for NACHI to become the inspector police. And although there is no official rule, http://www.nachi.org/membership.htm should not be quite enough to get on our public sites. Members should also be both willing and legally able.
