NACHI is now the biggest and best home inspection association. It is pretty difficult for someone to argue otherwise. And like an honorable high school coach, I don't want to run up the score any more.
I'm not going to devote any more of my energy into fueling NACHI's growth. Our natural growth is fast enough and our pace keeps it fresh http://www.nachi.org/whats_new.htm Membership benefits at http://www.nachi.org/benefits.htm is being fueled by this huge inventory of ideas that members keep coming up with. In other words, NACHI is fine, but some of our members aren't.
Therefore, I'm now turning toward getting existing members more inspection work. Most homes already get inspected and so the market won't grow much. I want every inspection to be done by a NACHI member. Markets aren't made... they're taken. Yes, its cruel but true. And I'm going to take the market for NACHI members.
Toward that end, I need to get on NACHI's Marketing Committee, which for sensible reasons, operates within the members-only section of this board. Hence I have to end my boycott and sheepishly return.
Can someone get me on that committee? I think I have to be nominated and unanimously accepted. I hope I'm still welcome.

Nick, if you need a nomination to get on the Marketing Committee, consider it done. I make such a nomination. I think you have demonstrated the skill, knowledge, and passion needed to help the Committee better serve NACHI. Thanks for all the hard work you have already done to help us.

Nick
Any grand ideas on how to improve the percentage of homes inspected in rural areas? Currently only about 20% that I know of. I realize your efforts are better spent on large cities but we also have inspectors trying to get by in the country
Seems to many buyers have a cousin, unsure of the true relationship, looking at the home for them

I know. But I got swamped with 128 new local chapters trying to form. I mean it this time Jeff. I’ll go into members-only right now and post something just to prove it.
