I checked the site again. I checked the exact match for my home town and still there are inspectors listed above me that are “not” based in my home town. I still don’t understand how this works. Can someone explain it to me. I think if you raise any questions you go to the bottom of the listing. I hope not.

I am not sure how the system works, but I believe it probably has some randomizing to it. That way all the members who paid get a fair shake. I belive chris did say something about those getting most clicks move down, which seems fair, it will cause a rotation. So if that is true, than yes those raising questions like this could easily go to bottom if people like me search for you. Don’t worry, I was in the bottom in my old location and still got hits.

Your “base” is not considered in the search. The zip codes you’ve submitted are the deciding factor. Do you know how many zips you submitted to Chris?
In the same zip code, the member with the lower "member number" comes up first. I believe at one time, "click throughs" moved you lower on the list. I'm not sure if that is still in place.

I’ve created the page http://www.nachi.org/aboutfindinsp.htm . Please take a look at it and see if it answers your questions. If you continue to have questions about FindAnInspector.US, let me know and I’ll revise that page.
