You sure it wasn’t a “standard extension hose kit”?
These are the norm in my area…(attached at the exterior stub)… (note it is also 1-1/4 inch diameter)!

No, it was a piece of a central vac hose, the rest was in the closet for the central vac. 
Yeah, I’ve seen the sump pump discharge range from 1’ 1/4 up to 2’.
