DOGE is brilliant because it isn't a real government agency

It can make recommendations for huge cuts in government and Trump can just complain that Congress isn’t doing what they recommend… because they don’t have to and they won’t.

It’s going to be a Trump and DOGE vs. Congress and overspending.

And nothing will change = inflation.

Good news…

Adios Elon! Go back to doing something you know something about, like cars and rockets.

DOGE is a failure and cost more - Google Search

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been criticized for failing to achieve its stated goals of saving taxpayers money and improving government efficiency. While DOGE initially claimed to have saved billions of dollars, NPR found that these claims were inflated and misrepresented. Some critics also argue that DOGE’s efforts have been counterproductive, leading to job losses and the potential undermining of important government services.

Well, that’s from NPR.

But I will say that it is sad that Musk saved us $155 billion which is a lot of money: 155 thousand million. But then Congress gave it all to the DoD.

I find it ironic that the DoD took exactly the same amount that Musk saved us, almost to the penny.

In my opinion, Doge was nothing more than a data/dumpster dive and retrieval exercise for when/if the USA goes full blown authoritarian, as it appears to be headed.

It is a break even exercise as for saving money, as they claimed. Lol.
I saw it coming a mile away. Donald kept throwing dead cats on the table and court challenges to distract everyone.

Myself. I thought Elon Musk was nothing but a disposable vessel, filled with cash from the richest man in the world. Head line advertising every time. All Trump had to do is complement him and give him a title.

Elon Musk bought the republican’s win. No more. No less.

As for Doge.
Doge uncovered and kept recorded data held in separate government agency silos for the purpose of knowing 'all the people in united states and their business. What they have done legally, where they live and have lived, their political affiliations, race, immigration status, which is being used now, marital status, present income, etc, etc, etc. We are in the information age remember.

Brilliant depends upon how you look at it. Sucker born every minute. Brilliant. As to whom will pay the price for the upheaval, all the people that lost there government job. Not so Brilliant. All the indirect job loses. Not so brilliant. As to all the agencies that were cut back. Not so Brilliant. USA will appear to be cruel.

Are you claiming the NPR is wrong? If you are, do you have evidence of that?

DOGE will prove to be another Trump debacle that will end up costing the American Taxpayer dearly, not to mention the American Families he’s hurt due to loss of their jobs and benefits, and then there’s the people across the planet who have already died and those who will die as a direct result of the actions of DOGE.

And how anyone can think DOGE was a success after this, is mind boggling to me.

how many people have died from the loss of USAID? - Google Search

Estimates vary, but studies suggest that significant cuts to USAID funding, particularly to programs like PEPFAR and the Global Fund, could lead to a substantial increase in deaths from preventable diseases like HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. For example, one estimate suggests that the elimination of PEPFAR could result in over 23,000 additional adult deaths and more than 2,400 infant deaths. Another study indicates that cuts to USAID and US contributions to the Global Fund could lead to 2 million more tuberculosis deaths by 2040. Independent researchers have also estimated that the freeze on global AIDS funding has already resulted in nearly 19,000 deaths.

Elon Musk’s DOGE Disaster Will Likely Cost Taxpayers Nearly 4 Times More Than It Cut - Above the Law

If you’ve been watching Fox News or one of the many even more ridiculous pro-Trump propaganda networks, the world’s richest man’s brief tenure in government has been a paradigm-shifting triumph.

By any objective measure, however, it has been a dismal failure. Hundreds of thousands of federal workers have lost their jobs, agencies have been rendered essentially inoperable, and thousands of adults and children are dying abroad because of canceled medical aid.

They are regularly wrong about very basic things. For example, they regularly refer to the Jan 6 protestors “insurrectionists” despite the Director of the FBI testifying under oath that they didn’t bring any guns. How do you overthrow the world’s most powerful government without a single gun? Yet NPR, to this day, refers to them as insurrectionists.

They regularly say that Trump was convicted of rape and/or sexual assault. That simply isn’t true, and they know it. He’s never been convicted of anything of the sort. But they go on saying it over and over.

They still talk about Trump Russian collusion even thought that’s been disproven for years.

They still say that Trump frequented Epstein’s island when the only record of him being there (once) was before Epstein ever even owned it.

They still say that he said called nutcase NeoNazi who ran over people in NC “good people.” The video is online. Trump said there are good people on both sides of the statute debate. But NPR goes right on lying. I heard them repeat this lie last week with my own ears.

They just lie all day long. Most inaccurate biased show on the radio.

Many folks are still under the impression that these media outlets are honest brokers. Trump was not the first to identify this problem, but he certainly knew how to publicize it. “Fake News” is a shot heard around the world.

Nick, if you care to look up the definition of “Insurrection”, their is no mention of being “armed” within a a violent uprising against an authority or government, with a gun, rifle or any other “weapons.” All it states is a “a violent uprising against an authority or government.” It was violent, and and it was an uprising against our Government.

Be it with you and your “peaceful” protest: stance. The majority of TRUE Americans saw it that day and know what an “Insurrection” is.

Thank you Thomas.
May I add. The majority of the world watched on any device saw it that day and know and remember what they saw was an “Insurrection.”
No matter how many times it is disputed it remains a violent uprising against the government instigated by the commander and chief that had been planed weeks prior by close friends and radicals.

No,

A jury convicted Tarrio and three other former Proud Boys leaders of seditious conspiracy charges

Funny, because you can’t see a damn thing and the problems in your own country.
Many would say that many such as you, are a large part of the problem!!

Oh stop. You can’t overthrow the world’s most powerful country without guns. And it was only violent because the Capitol police violated their oath to support the Constitution and refused to stand down during the First Amendment exercise. FAFO. No protestor, to this day, was found guilty of insurrection. No one has ever even been charged with it. But NPR keeps calling it an insurrection.
