hi

I want to cap off a sprinkler head near my exterior wall that is used to

water the rose bed but is hitting the house. If i dig a trench and put a drip irrigation in, it will just drip in the soil through the the hoses which is better than a sprinkler hitting the wall and foudation , but will i have worry about the soil being so wet and draining towards the house? thanks for your time. this house has a basement.

Most likely.

Remember, water seeks it's own level. If you have a basement or CS lower than the level of the water source, it will flow in that direction.

Moisture next to the house is the primary cause of structural, mold, moisture damage, insect infestation ect....
