Drone regulations coming, says Transport Canada

This is relevant to this thread How?

It is also incorrect.

So, Roy, any update about the Drone’s regulation? BTW, I met Aaron McCrorie in one of the ASIS International seminars in Ottawa along with RCMP personal. It was about the drones and the risk exposure on public safety. We’ve discussed the potential threats of flying drones in Ottawa, nearby the airports, above high-security area, above private properties…etc. What we’ve discussed and watched was really really scary and I believe that Transport Canada should take every safety measure to protect the public from UAV regardless of who is controlling it. I hope that Transport Canada could find a “proactive” measure to protect the public “before” flying, and not a “reactive” measure, i.e “after” flying. There is a huge vulnerability that MUST be addressed at the level of the security policy and public awareness.
