I am proud to announce the National Home Inspector Training Institute (www.nhiti.com). NHITI was founded by Gary Johnson and Myself and has been named an Officialy Endorsed Training School of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Our site is up, but be forewarned, we are working out finishing it still. With the help of NACHI we will keep you updated on the site.
As we move forward we will offer a multitude of classes, starting with continuing education, eventually to include a unique distance education option for beginners and established inspectors alike. Please offer us any suggestion for classes you would like to see and we will work with you to offer them. We will soon open our store that will have a variety of products for home inspectors, from books to tools. Also If you are to far away to travel, but feel a need in your area, let us know so we can work with you to set up some training for you.
Our first class (http://www.nhiti.com/hvac_june_19.html) will be held June 19th. Come experience A Day with the HVAC Guy! You will not be let down. Register now to ensure a seat since space is limited.
Also, as soon as a date is set, we will be having Marketing for Home Inspectors, taught by none other than Nick Gromicko. This promises to be packed day of marketing techniques and skills to help your business. Space will go fast!
Finally, we are developing a Pool/Spa Inspection class. We will most likely hold this class mid summer. Stay tuned for more classes, and give us any suggestions.

Dan:
Do me 2 favors:
1. Change "The Official..." to "An Officially Endorsed..." I want to help promote all our members private ventures as much as I can and if making them "An Officially Endorsed... " helps, I'm glad to do it. I just don't want to tick off other member's schools/training.
2. Add a link to NACHI on the front page of your site somewhere. Perhaps "An Officially Endorsed..." could be a link.
Thanks so much. Looks great. Education is a big part of NACHI.

NACHI does not have a heavy presence in Southwest Michigan. Or so it seems.
That being said, I've started the Western Michigan NACHI Chapter.
My plans for this chapter far outweigh my financial resources at this time.
Since I have not attended basic inspector school any where yet, I feel like a fifth wheel on a wagon. I'm not able to do inspections, not able to help future home inspectors, etc. But I would really enjoy being involved in getting HI education into Michigan.
Your educational company seems like an answer to new, veteran, and future
inspectors here in Southwest Michigan, and Michigan in general.
What's the possibility of providing a general HI course (6-7 days) that can be
provided to various state chapters? Prefer classroom type training.
At the Southwest Michigan Home Show this past weekend, I discovered no one ever heard of NACHI, but was thrilled to see our booth there.
My job was to educate the attendees about NACHI and home inspections, in general. It was enjoyable.

Larry, we are working on developing the curriculum for a week long class. I would love to bring it to Michigan, once developed, if you can find a need for it there. If there are enough people in the area that we can get confirmed, I think Gary and I can arrange something. However, it will not be overnight.
In the mean time, We will be having Joe Tedesco teach the electrical portion of the curriculum this summer in the MidAtlantic area. If you can make it here for it, I would encourage you. It will be credited as part of the curriculum. We will be having individual classes of the other portions of the curriculum coming up as well, so if you do not have the funds for the whole week, this may help you.
Also, probably late summer or early fall, we plan to hold a weekend of practice inspections in actual houses.
Again, see what kind of need there is in your area for a full week class or individual classes for that matter. If you help us set them up, we will pay you for your efforts.
