Attention all HI's, small town and big city alike!

We have many educational opportunities abound in NACHI and we would like to know whether inspectors would be in favor of weeknight trainings.

Does it make a difference in heavily populated versus rural locales?

Would you go during the week if it were well planned?

Help us educate our inspectors!

Hi, Aimee

I would hope that you would get them approved for state credits in the state that requires them.

Thanks

Ken,

I have in my hands, twelve state applications for approval of NACHI courses. Yes they are being done, as you know Illinois is done(Congrats!). The others are not far behind.

The form would be assumably a three hour technical course in a field related to the HI business? ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

Aimee,

If it is a course that I consider useful (not just a refresher or standard HI course) then I will make time in my schedule. I prefer weekenights, actually, but like I said, if it was for pool inspections, or NEC, or HVAC in depth, or radon/termite that can lead to certification, etc I will make time.

I know that in PA I already have several opportunities to do the Termite and Radon training, but if they were offered through NACHI I would prefer to support the organization.

Just my two cents....

Any good training that does not directly affect normal bussiness hours would be great.

Good Luck getting your State approved.

Massachusetts Board of Home Inspectors will never approve NACHI credits. All the dorks that are running this board are ASHI.

After hours training would work great. Anything that I don’t have to take time off of work to attend would work for me.

I absolutely would be in favor and attend CE weeknights. I prefer that to weekends or having to take time off.

Central and/or SE Michigan please........... ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)

24 / 7 - yes even Sunday is ok

TRY not to schedule in this area (Orlando) when one must travel during rush hr

Small city is better than big city -- Cost is lower and sometimes service is better.

Anything around a convention center, airport, collage is normally out.

I know that this is a pain in the but for out of town trainers but if you use the NACHI plane all of these small cites have small airports -- Frostproof with a population (summer) of 3,000 has one (grass strip - no lights)
