Electric heater in garage

Does a electric heater installed in a garage need to be installed 18 inches of the floor? The one in the photo is 15 inches off the floor.

Thank you, for your input.

Not sure about the heater, but don’t think I would be concerned with it. But I am curious if that outlet above the hose reel and the heater are GFCI protected?

Yes, they were protected.

As far as I know, the code about ignition sources is specific to gas appliances.

The UBC addresses electric appliances as well.

[FONT=Times-Roman][size=2]Devices generating a glow, spark or flame capable of igniting flammable vapors shall be installed such that sources of ignition are at least 18 inches (457 mm) above the floor of any room in which Class I flammable liquids or flammable gases are used or stored.
