Question for Joe

Is this a revision of the one I have?
(perhaps a collector's item)

Greg: No, the pages from a more recent book were put together for this material, which by the way was what the State of Illinois accepted as the very first approved 6 hour continuing education offering by NACHI.

Now that they have this recognition, and because of a misunderstanding about the CEU's, have given the training duty to one of the members of the Chicago chapter.

I have really tried to help here at NACHI, and have contributed a great deal to NACHI, and now because of those chosen few who are upset have been criticized for speaking the truth.

I still believe that a HI should stay away from the panelboard because some have not had and formal training in the following:

Inspecting exposed, energized parts

How to distinguish between live parts and other parts of electric equipment

How to determine the voltage of live parts

Clearance distances and voltages to which they will be exposed

You've got to be kidding Joe, this is why you think HI's shouldn't be inspecting electrical systems?

But he sure doesn’t mind bashing inspectors for what they don’t check on other boards!

It will be a very cold day in a very warm place before I ever drop a dime in that mans pocket.

Tell your story walking Tedesco.

I have reconsidered my book purchase and will simply donate the $15 directly to the Foundation.

Brian - that was an intersting site. Most of the shoddy work I find was put there by a licensed contractor and often designed by a licensed PE.
