First time in my entire life and I am 73, seeing a COLT electrical panel. (Interesting, it was in the home of a Colt, Winchester and Remington collector.) Do any of you have any background info on Colt Electrical? Period of manufacture? History and concerns? In what geographic areas were they used? Who owns the company now? Note the form of the “Colt” identification - resembling Colt firearms. And … so on.

I believe Colt entered the electrical market in the 30’s and 40’s. I haven’t come across any in residential inspections but I have seen some like you show, as well as knife switches marked “Colt NOARK” in older commercial buildings.

I don’t know, but I have seen the Colt switches in Ohio and Massachusetts.
I’ve seen them in lower MI in the past Thomas.
