The 2003 IRC states 22' swimming pool 14' diving board
Could someone please set the record straight for me?

The requirement is 22 feet over the water line, minimum. An additional requirement is the 14 feet over the diving board.

If your diving board is three feet off the water line, 22 feet is your minimum. If your diving board is 10 feet above the water line (high dive), the minimum is 24 feet above the water line.
