I just got a somewhat nasty email asking about NACHI’s financial arrangement with two for-profit inspection reporting companies. THERE IS NONE. This was prompted by yesterday’s posts on this message board about two offers made to our membership:
AGAIN. I know its hard for some to believe! NACHI ACCEPTS NO PAID ADVERTISEMENT. Even though we get nearly 3 million hits/month http://www.nachi.org/stats.htm we don't sell ads. Not even banner ads. Furthermore any vendor offering NACHI members something can enjoy similar treatment.
We don't accept paid ads (at great expense) so that our visitors can learn about ALL vendors, not just those willing to pay to advertise. AND so that this site and the information exchanged on it can be trusted. It is for these same reasons, we have no moderator, and the message board is open to all.
Please, if you have something to offer our visitors, let us know about it. We encourage you to tell us. No charge. If you offer NACHI members something special or a NACHI discount, I will post it in http://www.nachi.org/deals.htm We want to help you sell your product/service, we just don't want to be paid for that help...its yours for free.

we don’t accept paid advertising and we don’t moderate and we don’t exclude non-members from the board and we don’t get a cut on anything and we don’t edit posts and we don’t object to vendors telling us about their products.
I'll even go as far as saying that this message board is no longer NACHI's. It has become the inspection industry's board. NACHI merely hosts it.
