Olin, find a local independant broker. They will take care of you just fine, IMO you are nearly always better off buying from a local broker as the fammiliarity with local laws and practices will be usefull, more so that an internet company.
My underwriter is the hartford.
Beware discounted rates, not that one should get gouged or pay for coverages not needed, but lower rates means lower coverage too.
For just GL, I agree with a local broker being a suitable way to do it. You’ll probably spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $300-$500 for a 1MM policy. If it were E&O, however, a local broker is not the best avenue. Rather, a company that specializes in home inspector E&O insurance is who you’d want to go through.

Do they write just GL without E&O? A lot of providers won’t.
