I decided to try my hand at becoming a home inspector after spending 25+ years in the pest control business (20+ as a business owner), and so I took 120 hours of training to get my certification. I have to say, it wasn’t hard breaking into pest control, but breaking in here is different. Seems like these days, few people want to hire a “newbie”. I am in the process of compiling a few “sample” inspection reports to make sure I start getting the process down. Any other suggestions for someone just getting started?
Yeah, join InterNACHI. Start plugging through all of this: www.nachi.org/benefits.htm
Do what the young kid said in the post above mine. If you do even 1/2 of it, you will be well on your way !!
