I do several inspections each month for Granite. What’s your question?

Thank you all for your responses— with your info I checked BBB of CO. Company seams legite. They have pursued me for a couple of weeks now. I was and am a little hesitant about giving out SS#. Thanks again

I’d take care of him if he would just call me, or email or something. I ve sent my paperwork in twice. Once through Jim and another time through a woman (can’t remember her name).

I have a feeling they're using another inspector who may be outside my area.

So far I’ve got no complaints. last month I did 5 inspection for them and just did one today.

Had my first glitch as the last check came without one of the inspections I did, so have to ask them about it, but get paid about 2 weeks after submitting the invoice usually.

Just curious, Kevin;
I believe you said in another post that you do not need the ability to send faxes (cell phone post)! How do you send your reports to granite?

I receive my requests from them via fax. I use e-fax so they come into my e-mail as a tif file. I do the inspection. mark-up the tif file and e-mail it into them with the photos. I do between 2-4 per week for them.

If you are not getting a response via telephone just shoot Jim a quick e-mail. He gets back to me within a couple of hours.

They are working on having the entire thing set up so it will all be online.

John,

I scan the reports to Adobe and email. Works great!

Just got an application packet from Granite.

I assume they just don't fax you an assignment without knowing if you are in-town. Is this a correct assumption?

I didn't see anything that explained what is done when you are not working!

Jeffrey,

If you are going out of town you need to call them and let them know.

I usually find their faxes when I get home in the evening. Most of the time someone will call me a couple of hours after they have sent the fax to be sure I got it. If you can do the job within 24-48 hrs great! If not they want you to call.

Like Jeff Pope said. Mr. Killey is a good guy. If you take care of him he will take care of you.
